The motto of Shree Jain Vidya Prasarak Mandal College of Education is "|| पढमं नाणं तओ दया ||" The Institution decided to start training college for secondary school teachers who came from masses; hence Shree Jain Vidya Prasarak Mandal College of Education was established in 2006 at Chinchwadgaon, Pune . The college is situated in the midst of PCMC area. The course is run in the lavish building. In 2006 the Shree Jain Vidya Prasarak Mandal started B.Ed. course affiliated to Pune University with intake of 100 students. The result of the college is always more than 95%. Dr. Pravin Kothawade is working as a Principal with the aspiration of “Upliftment of All the Masses".
Number of teaching and non-teaching staff has increased. The college looks blossom by increasing the success of students in the field of education. Many cultural activities are arranged in the college. It helps the students to develop their talents. Our institute organizes Teacher's Day, when students and teachers are felicitated; On the Foundation Day i.e. 8th Sept. big procession is organized by the institution. Many competitions are organized in the college to develop the competencies of the students. Students are motivated to take part in inter collegiate as well as in the University.
College has rich library which is extensively used not only by college students but also by the students of other B. Ed. colleges and university. There are many national and international magazines, journals subscribed for the library. The faculty is well qualified as well as very knowledgeable. They work as resource persons for various schools, colleges, university departments. The lecturers participated in workshops, seminar, conferences organized by university at State, National & International Level.
College arranges different awareness programs such as Road Safety awareness, Save Girl Child programs, Environment programs, blood donation programs, Yoga Training Programs for complete Health, Camps, street plays on themes like dowry systems, women education, cleanliness programs and removal of social barriers like blind faith etc. The college engages different curricular and co- curricular activities for student teachers and teacher educators of the other college. We all wish that our college, Shree Jain Vidya Prasarak Mandal College of Education, Should be well known educational complex with quality Modern amenities and high standards with varied aspects.
